Weird how it's always extreme -- either too much or too little... 😉

I keep hoping that climate catastrophe will begin to register. Like a thermostat in peoples heads. E-gads what mess are we leaving to our kids??

I don't have much hope. People don't want to leave their comfort zone even a bit. They don't think much and only do what they've always done. Change is too much trouble. I was born in 1946 in Germany and I FINALLY understand HOW the Nazi time and all the horror could have come about: people just let things happen, until it's too late. Not because of the active followers, they were the minority. But the complacent majority -- they LET it happen. Same with the climate doom; people love their pickup-trucks and SUVs, they love their steak. They don't like change.

that certainly has been the case so far but we haven't really been hit in the mouth with climate change yet / not really / alot more people will wake up when they lose their house or become unhealthy or there's no water for their stupid lawns or gas is $12/gallon or food costs six times more than it used to / that might do it

Yeah not sure they will wake up and change their behaviour... They'll complain and react and blame it on "the other".

I agree, the lazy majority just coasting along, enjoy their view! Change, they view only as discomfort. You stay cool and hydrate with a special drink to treat yourself!

Thanks for understanding. Chances for showers for next Wednesday have increased from 20% to 50% -- keeping fingers crossed!

yeah i certainly get it / we've had several weeks of 100 degrees plus days with more to come

very interested in hearing your wolf stories / i guess the two perspectives demonstrate how the western cultures want to dominate nature and demonize its wildness while the native cultures want to co-exist and be in some kind of balance / i'm remembering a prophecy about returning to the state of balance with nature / some old indian prophecy / that would be a great and beautiful thing

I like that, state of balance. The western perspective is more along the lines of "how can I get the most out of it". "It's all MINE". No co-existence.

When we exist in harmony/balance everything is OURS.
