Stunning pictures. Thank you for sharing your home with us. I may make a trip thru northern NM this summer so it's good to know about these places. If you're still around maybe I can stop by and say hi.
I hope your life holds new delightful adventures in some magical landscape somewhere.
I especially liked the view of the Chama River valley. There must have been an ancient civilization around there and maybe there still is.
Well I guess we're all ancient if you want to count our immigrant ancestors but not exactly in possession of our heritage. Capitalism and American democracy is about all we've got to show for it and some strange permutated ungodly religions.
I feel particularly dispossessed these days, probably because I am.
By the way the Presbyterian church also owns and manages an enchanted piece of land here in the San Antonio river headwaters called the Sacred Glade, or atleast that's what I call it. I made a video poem about https://youtu.be/2X_RXc6wTkU : )
Sure, stop by when you're in the neighborhood 😉. "Abiquiú" actually comes from a Tewa word, meaning "Chokecherry Path". Tewa Pueblo people lived there from around 1300 AD to the early 1600s. But people have lived there for more than 10,000 years. Nice video!
Now I want to visit New Mexico - one of the half-dozen states I have yet to visit... Here's hoping you find a great new place to land and call home...and who knows - maybe I will see you one day in that beautiful part of the world!
There are many more fascinating site around here, I couldn't fit them all in one post 😉. One other thing I love about New Mexico: most of the locals are bi-lingual. "Anglos" are the minority. By all means, stop by if/when you visit NM!
Gosh can I relate! We had to throw in the towel on our place in Jemez Springs. Sadly we now look towards a cheaper state to finish up. The sky, forest, rivers were the best we ever lived. 13 years in a place as close to perfect as ever there was. Still looking up and onward through the fog. I wish for you a new, comparable home. I will keep on reading on . . .
Oh no, I'm so sorry... I sometimes drove down Hwy 4 to the Valles Caldera, but never made it as far as Jemez Springs, although I believe it's totally lovely. What a drag. May we both find a suitable, beautiful place... I'll keep in touch!

I want to bisit
Well, you better come soon 😉
Aw - yes what a beautiful place - but you will land on your feet even if it’s in New England- new adventures await!!
That's the spirit 😍. I shouldn't feel sorry for myself, but the new owner makes it hard .
What an incredible place! Added to my travel bucket list - for sure. And the landscapes are so surprising 🤩
Yes, it's incredibly beautiful; definitely worth a visit 😉.

We're kindred spirits for sure 😊 and I will also keep in touch!
I’m sorry you will be leaving your Coyote home. I am hoping that you land in another place you love just as much!
Thank you, Jo; I'd like to stay in the area a bit longer 😉
