That is just a wonderful saga to follow. I made a trip from Athens to London in 1979 by bus non stop and back again a few months later. Passing through the Slavic countries still behind the iron curtain was really a strange time. You could feel the animosity. I look forward to the next part.

Thank you, Wes. I drove through East-Germany a few times, from Munich to Berlin, that was strange too. And East-Berlin: VERY strange. And yet, I bet it was fun to go by bus to London!

It was fun. I was studying at the London School of Economics and visiting my parents who lived in Athens. On of my classmates traveled with me to visit my parents and we had such a blast. Boy, he could drink and drink but not me.
