Jessica, Have you been reading much about the precision fermentation industry? There's a good chance it will supplant the meat industries by 2030.

No, I've never heard about it... I'd like to investigate; do you recommend any websites/companies?

Long-time vegetarian/vegan here. Much as I abhor the killing and consumption of our fellow sentient beings, I enjoy -- and miss -- the taste of most meats. Foods that mimic those flavors are A-OK in my book. They don't harm any critters, and they probably make it easier for carnivores to give up meat.

I'm with you. Whatever it takes to save even one poor animal's life.

Very interesting I agree with most of it but really don't think - beyond burger is that different from tofurkey (both try hard to be like meat)- the other thing is its one of only a very small number of veggie burgers that does not contain soy - my friend has a soy allergy. What do you think about lab grown meat? I still feel its not cool - but realistically - could save a lot of animals and resources: https://sentientmedia.org/lab-grown-meat/#:~:text=Lab%2Dgrown%20meat%20is%20grown%20using%20cells%20taken%20from%20an,similarity%20to%20farm%2Draised%20meat.

Thanks for your comment, and for the link. Not sure what I think about lab-grown meat... I'd have to do more research. Personally I would do without it, but if it means killing fewer animals I'm for it -- cautiously.
